In case you haven't kept up with the latest book news : Back in 2008 Stephanie Meyers (author of the Twilight Series) began a rewrite of Twilight from Edward's perspective. She thought it would be interesting to explore his thoughts and fill in the gaps where he was missing (Canada trip in the 1st book, etc).
