In spite of the fans’ love for the sequence, the first 3 “Twilight” movies received bad reviews. However, the series’ new director, Bill Condon, is not worried about the last two installments of the franchise. Condon’s most recent films, “Dreamgirls,’’ “Kinsey,’’ and “Gods and Monsters’’ brought him public recognition and therefore he hopes that “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’’ will continue the trend and provide colossal commercial success when its parts are released in November and the next year.
Nonetheless, if these 2 films follow the same course as the last “Twilight” movies, then the director might find critics hard to deal with.
“I don’t think you can ever anticipate that,’’ Condon said at the Comic-Con Conference from San Diego where he, together with stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner exposed two scenes of “Breaking Dawn – Part 1’’.
“I was turned on by the story and then by the script, and I have to say for me, I started out in horror movies, and I’ve been looking for a way to make another horror movie. And horror movies don’t tend to get the greatest reviews. Some of them do, classics, but a lot of them don’t. So I think that comes with the territory,” he added.
