After the awesomeness of the original Twilight soundtrack (including hand-picked songs from some of Stephanie Meyers favorite bands AND cuts from Robert Pattinson’s own work) we were really eager to get our hands on the New Moon soundtrack.
We heard a leak months ago that Death Cab for Cutie would be headlining the tracks .
Let me tell you – it doesn’t disappoint – with tracks from Muse, Death Cab for Cutie, The Killers ( I know.. mainstream.. but we love them!), Black label motorcyle club and more.
A couple things strike us listening to the album:
1. Amazed at the indie band-ness of the record. I give a lot of credit to Meyers for her obvious input here as well as the producers. Really cool to stick with a majority of indie style music
2. Soft-Cool tunes compared to the Twilight Soundtrack. This set of music is much more subtle and mellow then Twilight’s in-your-face edginess.

We also can’t wait to get our hands on the Score of the film but we’ll have to wait till Nov 26th to get a listen.
