Kristen Stewart will be heading out on the road after The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is released in late June; Kristen has signed on for Walter Salles’ movie version of Jack Kerouac’s landmark novel On the Road. This movie is planned to start shooting this coming August.
The actress will take the role of Mary Lou, the on-and-off wife of Dean Moriarty. Garrett Hedlund will play Moriarty and Sam Riley will play Kerouac’s autobiographical deputy, Sal Paradise.
This is another big role for Kristen and we will never know if she will be at home in Kerouac’s 1950s Beat Generation. However, we’ve trusted her since the first movie of Twilight Saga, so I am sure she’s going to be terrific on this different role she’ll handle.
