The end of the book is such a stunning and climactic read the chapters fall away at light speed through Twilight and New Moon the way I used to tear through the latest Tom Clancy. Only the thought that there is another book, Breaking Dawn, behind the one I am reading now (Eclipse) gives me a sense of security.
This writer might have chosen a lot of different themes and I am starting to wonder what the next series from her will be. The suspense over why Bella is doing all the thrill seeking was a mystery to me, until I realized that Bella had figured out that when she was in danger she still connected to Edward.
I was worried when I thought there would not be enough Edward action in the second Meyer book. I was so wrong! But I like the story with Jacob and th La Push people.
The stronger Bella is invested with the Forks environment, the stronger I feel there is mroe to Charlie and Renee than we have been told. Is it coincidence Charlie is the law? Renee’s strange gifts look lopsided from a human perspestive, but from Edward or Jacob’s point of view Renee’s instincts are dead on.
By the end of the book I can see how important it is that Bella has a significant connection with both Edward and Jacob. When Edward is judged in front of Aro and the Volturi, i feel that this is what Alice demonstrates keeping Bella human can do for the vampire side.
