The two things about Edward that bothered me in the book New Moon the most need to be discussed.This information might still be Spoilers for those who have not read the book.
Edward breaks up with Bella and the entire Cullen clan leave for parts unknown. Edward dumps Bella from great height. We are supposed o know that it is for her own good, but we already know Edward is her life. It occurred to me then that a big part of the movie “New Moon” is not going to have enough Edward value for many fans.
Also, periodically throughout the parts of the book where Bella is in Port Angeles near the bar or in supernatural danger she hears Edward’s voice coaching her on what to do. How is he doing that? Is he watching her Does James’ bite enable her to hear or connect with him?
Is Bella somehow in fact like Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort’s scar able to be in a “twilight” world ? James gave her some venom in the attack in Phoenix from the book Twilight. Does this affect her? Is that why she has a sixth sense about the activities of Jacob and the gang?
When Edward sucked it out is it possible she got a taste of the “turning”?

No she does not have a kind of sixth sense from Jame’s bite. She was delusional. At the end when she is talking to Edward after they return from Italy she explains all that to him. She said it was because a part of her knew that he still loved her and that is why she was still holding on to him hearing his voice. It’s actually kinda cute in a freaky weird loveable way.
Edward said his was worst than hearing voices and he was actually seeing her face as if she was right there with him as well. That’s why he said at first he was living day by day then he was seeing her so much he started living hour by hour and that he was on his way back because he just couldn’t live without her.
So to answer you questions, no Jame’s bite had no effect on Bella. She knew about Jacob and the werewolves because of the story Jacob told her in “Twilight” about his Epherim Black, his grand father or great grandfather, and the Cullens “treaty”.

i dont think people who read the books, will have any problem with the lack of edward in this book. we already know whats going to happen.but for the people who are only watching the movies,well they will just have to fall in love with the story as they go like we did with the books.while i did miss edward terrably the story and events that play out during his absence keep you waiting for his return because you know he cant stay away from bella.you know there love is enough to bring them back together.

No, James bite had nothing to do with her hearing Edwards voice in her head. She was delusional and when he came back to her she told him that she was hearing his voice in her head and that she had this crazy feeling that he still loved her, and never stopped. And it never mentions in the book that Edward talked to her, or connected with her through her scar. It is not like Harry Potter. In the end of the book Edward and Bella talk and when she tells him that she was hearing his voice, knowing that he always loved her and never stopped loving her; he told her that he saw her face everywhere he went living day by day then finally it go so bad that he was living hour by hour and he said he was going to come back. That shows that there love is so strong that not even distance can keep them apart. I think that this story is the most beautiful novel I’ve ever read just because of the love that Bella and Edward share. I read these books over and over never gettign tired if them.<3

I have to completely agree with lauren on her post. i read the books over and over too because you never get tired and honestly i pick up things that i didn’t notice before. it always seems new. Also, if you watched the entertainment tonight special that started on 4/23/09 then one of the secrets to new moon (supposedly, if they don’t edit it out)is that in bella’s delusion edward will actually appear instead of just hearing his voice. this way we can get more of him in this movie. i always make a point to say that as much as i love the twilight movie after reading the book i hoped there would be more intimacy between edward and bella, that’s what i felt it was lacking. so, hopefully new moon will have all of the important stuff from the book, like the birthday party, when alice comes back, i think that alice’s conversation with charlie is important too. in the end i definitely think the proposal should be in there as well. okay, that’s it!!

Okay first of all i’vr read twilight 9 times, new moon 9 times, eclipse 8 times and breaking dawn 8 times as well. I just wanted to say that the twilight “movie” was nothing compared to the book, the book had alot more details, and im 99.9% positive it will be the same wit new moon! Im just so excited i have the day it comes out marked on my calendar, 11.20.09!!!! Horray! the the crew gets straight to work for eclipse, after new moon is done! CAN U BELIEVE IT?!!!! BTW, ECLIPSE COMES OUT- 6.30.10!! IM SUCH A TWIHARD!!! ASK ME ANY QUESTION ABOUT TWILIGHT! My fav guy characters are, 1. Emmett 2. Carlisle 3. Jasper 4. Edward and 5. Jacob, because he is so annoying sometimes! My fav girl charaters are, 1. Alice 2. Esme 3. Rosalie. IM SO EXCITED!
