Breaking Dawn Soundtrack to be Released November 8th

The official release date for the Breaking Dawn (1st part of the two-part finale to the twilight series) soundtrack has been set for November 8th.
Many of us twifanatics love the soundtracks for their music and attitude. The original twilight soundtrack still stands as one of my personal faves.

Breaking Dawn is rumored to included:
“Sister Rosetta (Capture the Spirit)” performed by Noisettes
And a new track by the group Evanescence.

There have also been rumors of another cast members track included on the album. Fans recall that one of Robert Pattinson’s was included on the original Twilight OST.

Robert Pattinson to Unveil New Clothing Line?

Rob Patz appears interested in starting his own clothing line after his Co-actor Kellan Lutz:

‘Rob and I were talking about clothing lines, he found out I was doing one and was like, “I should do one”. He’s always so hipster,’ Lutz said.

Rob is riding a high wave that won’t stop anytime soon as fans expect the first of two final movies for the Twilight series – breaking Dawn which comes out Nov 18th.
Although most twilight fans hope that Rob’s new clothing line does without the shirts..

I did not make the premiere of Eclipse and Twifanatics review is over-due. So here goes.
Please drop me any comments to argue,agree, explain or persuade below!

Twifanatics Review Twilight Eclipse

Let’s start with the big stuff. Hair, Jasper, Rosalie and Bella.

Hair – What’s with the makeup department for Eclipse? Did someone in makeup fall asleep? Jasper, Alice, and Rosalie all had tweeked up hair compared to Twilight and New Moon.

Guess maybe its a year later. Nothing says they have to stay exactly the same looking. (older maybe.. ahem.. ).

I was very much looking forward to seeing the character development and backstories for Jasper and Rosalie in this one.

Bella had a wig on the entire movie (Kristen had to go short/shaved head for the runaways I believe), so I can at least understand why hers looked a bit ‘ off’ .

Jasper – The accent. Um. Authentic southern/texas perhaps? Dunno. I could have done with a bit less accent. I got the hint. He’s southern.

Just irritated me a tad bit more then necessary throughout.

I’m also hoping we get more backstory from Jasper on the DVD release. His character was pretty cool in the book.

Bree Tanner – I’m guessing they tossed the Bree appearance into the movie in order to tie in to the recent Bree Tanner book?

I could have also done without that.

They switched the end up a bit where Bella cuts herself on purpose – in the book of course she does it needlessly - whereas the movie makes it out to be necessary in order to beat back Victoria.

The controversial change of actress in Victoria didn’t bug me at all – quite honestly she’s not on the screen an awful lot in Eclipse. I feel bad for the original actress missing out on the fun of course – but continuity wasn’t a problem.

Lautner and Pattinson did a good job pulling off the scenes together. They both showed pretty good emotional range that matches the intensity we’d see in the book.

I wish we saw more of the Cullen’s in the film but as always there is only so much screen time. Alice is always a fan favorite.

The action sequences went well enough. After reading reviews I had expected the big fight scene at the end to go on a bit longer .

Jacob – Needs a shirt. (just kidding).

Overall Grades:

Soundtrack: A++ I’d rate the soundtrack as good as the first Twilight. New moon’s track was a bit disappointing. But Eclipse comes back with some kick. Jacob’s theme is not as haunting as Bella’s of course.

But the Soundtrack gets an A+ in my book.

Costumes: B- Sadly I noticed costumes/hair/makeup. Basically they shoudln’t be noticed..

Acting: A Good job all around cast!

Movie: A (Granted – this is from a fans perspective) – Eclipse moved along very smoothly. Hit all the major points in the book. Of course I’d love more character development. Hopefully we can get an additional 30 minutes (right!) on the dvd. So far I’d rank Eclipse right toe to toe with Twilight. Action scenes were done well. Wolf graphics weren’t too overtly over cg’ish.

100 Monkeys Summer Tour Schedule Released

As all Twifans know Jackson Rathbone’s band 100 Monkeys has been lighting up the scene lately.
He’s been busy with his film schedule between the Twilight series and The Last Airbender (in theaters now as well).

We got a note from the 100 Monkeys manager with this juicy tour info below. Go out and catch Jackson live if you can.

The tour will be hitting Hollywood, CA, Hermosa Beach, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV, San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Vancouver, BC, Fresno, CA, Reno, NV and Sacramento, CA. Also big on the band’s list of updates will be two new CD’s that will be released including a live CD capturing their last leg of the 100 City Tour and the score for the Indie movie “Girlfriend” which stars Jackson Rathbone, and Jerad Anderson, both from the band. Come fall they will finish off their 100 City Tour with about 45 cities throughout the U.S before filming schedules for some of the band members commence . All of this, combined with the filming schedules of some of the band members, especially Jackson Rathbone (The Twilight Saga, and The Last Airbender) proves that the band has some exciting and busy months ahead of them.

100 Monkeys is also very active in charity work, and have been participating in the SBL Project (Spencer Bell Legacy) which is an annual (and sometimes semi-annual) concert that raises money for Adrenal Cancer Research. The next Spencer Bell Legacy concert is August 28th (two performances in one day), in Auburn Hills, MI, and is sold out.

100 Monkeys Announce West-Coast Summer Tour, Alongside the Release of their New Live CD “Live and Kickin Part 1”

Los Angeles, CA, July 2, 2010 – 100 Monkeys announced the release of the first disc of a two-disc live CD titled “Live and Kickin’ Part 1.” The songs on the CD were recorded during the first-half of the band’s fan-picked 100 city tour. The band also announced the next leg of their 2010 tour which will take them through the far-western States and into BC, Canada, and back. “Live and Kickin’ Part 1” will be available July 19th, 2010, on all major download sources. Physical albums will be available on July 21st, 2010, at select record stores and on the band’s website at the Official 100 Monkeys Merchandise page.

The newly announced summer tour, which kicks off on July 20th, 2010, and runs through to August 6th, 2010, includes (in order) stops in: Hermosa Beach, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Las Vegas, NV; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Vancouver, BC, Canada; Fresno, CA; Reno, NV; Sacramento, CA; and wraps up again in Los Angeles, CA. 100 Monkeys is comprised of Ben Graupner, Lawrence Abrams, Jerad Anderson, Ben Johnson and Jackson Rathbone (who appears in such movies as The Last Airbender, and the Twilight Saga).

The music of 100 Monkeys is impossible to pigeonhole. Their honest and catchy lyrics combined with the fusion of Rock, Jazz, Blues, Funk, and even borderline Country, creates a truly eclectic sound; one which the band has coined “onomatopoetic, but for the sake of simplicity, we’ll call it funky rock-n-roll.”

Just as unique as the band’s sound, are their live performances, which feature their now patented “Monkey Switcheroo,” in which band members exchange instruments, often during a song.
